18th March 2010 Luv Deluxe takes home SXSW 2010 - BEST MUSIC VIDEO award

"The video for Cinnamon Chasers’ Luv Deluxe directed by Saman Keshavarz won best video at the South by Southwest Film Festival last night (March 16th).

A multi-layered noir road movie, Luv Deluxe is told from the perspective of a young man as he hooks up with a girl and embarks on a crime spree, but it also examines what happens when he takes different moral choices.

Saman Keshavarz – currently studying at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena – shot the video over ten days, visiting Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento (his hometown), Portland, Seattle and points in between on the way.

Luv Deluxe won the best video prize at the SXSW Film Awards 2010 – where a number of independent features, documentaries and shorts were also honoured – with Forest, Alison Schulnik’s claymation tour de force for Grizzly Bear’s Ready Able, announced as runner-up."

Cinnamon Chasers | Luv Deluxe Remixes

Cinnamon Chasers returns with the anthemic 'Luv Deluxe' backed by a host of remixes by the likes of Scuba, Diamond Cut, N-Type and Jay Shepheard on January 14th 2010 via the Modus label. Already a mainstay on the European nu-disco scene, Davies has carved out a niche for himself endearing himself to audiences of Junior Boys, Royksopp, Hot Chip and The Field as well as house and techno fans. Very few artists of today or yesteryear have ever managed this.

For this special release the Modus label and Davies have called upon the services of Hotflush Recordings artist and label founder SCUBA to recreate Luv Deluxe alongside dubstep don N-Type, nu-disco blog supremo Diamond Cut with additional mixes by Jay Shepheard and Vasili Gavre -all mixes are released exclusively on Beatport on January 14th and January 28th 2010 everywhere else.

The 'Lux Deluxe' video created by director Saman Keshavarz, has become an internet hit with a sensational 1million views across Vimeo and Youtube without any promotion or publicity -just based purely on word of mouth and fans passing the video between groups of friends. The video starts as a well meaning teenagers weekend trip but ends with far more serious circumstances for both the unknown character behind the camera and the girl of his aspirations.

Roxy Music | Remixes By CC

Cinnamon Chasers have been asked personally by Roxy Music to remix a number of classic tracks taken from the bands vast and celebrated back catalogue. Cinnamon Chasers has in 2009 become a mainstay on the European nu-disco scene and has carved out a niche for himself endearing the project to audiences of Junior Boys, Royksopp, Hot Chip and The Field as well as house and techno fans.

These two remixes are being released on exclusive license from Virgin Records on January 14th on Modus Records, whilst the remaining remixes will be released later in 2010 on Virgin Records together with nu-disco gurus Prins Thomas and Lindstrom.
